Cloud Engineer-GCP

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud.
• Ensure adherence to asset management regulations and compliance standards across operational regions.
• Monitor cloud systems for performance, security, and cost efficiency; proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Product) to build cloud-native solutions.
• Troubleshoot cloud issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure and operational processes.
• Stay abreast of the latest GCP offerings and cloud engineering best practices.
• Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Provide support to internal users and recommend improvements for cloud adoption and usage.
• Educate teams on best practices for new cloud technologies and ensure successful implementation.
• Conduct periodic reviews of systems and suggest architecture or process enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud.
• Background in the financial services industry, particularly with knowledge of asset management regulations.
• Proficiency in cloud security, networking, and cost optimization.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Relevant Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
