Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Ang Mo Kio, Singapore
Salary: Up to SGD 6,000/month
Work Schedule: 5 days a week, standard office hours
Contract: 3 months temporary cover
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and virtualize cloud infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and network environments. The ideal candidate will ensure delivery of robust cloud solutions in alignment with service standards, while integrating workloads with existing systems and collaborating with vendors and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, test, optimize, and virtualize cloud infrastructure.
- Deploy cloud workloads and integrate them with existing services such as backup and monitoring.
- Integrate workloads with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Perform OS and database hardening in accordance with organizational hardening guides.
- Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors for implementation and integration.
- Maintain documentation, track deployments, and ensure adherence to process standards.
- Leverage Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Candidates with relevant certifications and experience may also be considered.
- 2-4 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a system engineer in an operations environment.
- Prior experience in cloud environments is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Strong understanding of cloud services, features, and capabilities.
- Knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Active Directory/DNS is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of server, storage, and networking concepts.
- Excellent scheduling, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Dynamic, customer-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
