Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud architecture, automation, DevOps practices, and security compliance, with a proactive approach to optimizing performance and cost.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases
• Implement and maintain Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure SQL Database
• Monitor cloud environments and optimize for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies

Automation & DevOps

• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
• Automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python
• Support and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices

Security & Compliance

• Implement Azure security best practices including identity and access management (Azure AD, RBAC)
• Configure and manage network security (NSGs, firewalls, VPNs)
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats
• Manage encryption, Key Vaults, and secrets lifecycle

Collaboration & Support

• Collaborate with development teams to design cloud-native architectures
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
• Maintain documentation for architectures, processes, and procedures
• Participate in on-call support and incident response rotation

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, databases)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Terraform, Bicep)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
• Solid understanding of cloud networking (VNets, subnets, load balancers, VPN, ExpressRoute)
• Experience implementing Azure security best practices (Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent)
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of cost optimization and FinOps practices
• Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare)
