Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Linux systems, infrastructure operations, and automation to join our regional support and project team. The role focuses on delivering production-ready solutions, ensuring security compliance, and supporting infrastructure projects aligned with Service Operations Lifecycle (SOL) principles.
- This is a 12 months contract role to start with.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain production environments for key infrastructure services (Linux, clustering, automation).
- Deploy and configure cloud-based solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Automate cloud operations and develop infrastructure-as-code scripts to streamline provisioning and management.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement and optimization of cloud platforms and services.
- Support the design, setup, and execution of proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives and product demonstrations.
- Deliver infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Administer and manage servers across virtualized and cloud platforms, ensuring operational efficiency and availability.
- Lead and execute in-place OS upgrades, particularly for RHEL and Ubuntu environments.
- Implement and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks and automation workflows.
- Collaborate with global teams to resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document solutions.
- Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity testing, and audit control activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation for operational procedures, change management, and incident tracking.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong years in Linux system administration
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (7.x - 9.x)
Ubuntu (16.x - 22.x) - Strong expereince into Azure / AWS Cloud
- Experince in Administer and manage servers across virtualized and cloud platforms.
- Experience with in-place OS upgrades
- Strong expertise with Veritas and OpenSVC clustering
- Hands-on with Ansible (automation & troubleshooting)
- Solid scripting ability in Python or Shell
- Strong communication skills, able to interact with both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience in production operations with understanding of change, incident, and problem management
- Exposure to Ansible Tower, Centrify, BMC tools
- Experience with storage technologies: SAN, NAS, iSCSI, DAS
- Familiarity with Agile/DevOps practices
- Understanding of electronic trading environments or low-latency systems
- Knowledge of ITIL, security standards, and audit compliance
