As a Cloud Architect, you will design secure, resilient cloud architectures that meet regulatory and operational requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable innovation and guide cloud adoption in a regulated banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and govern the migration of bank applications from on-premises to cloud platforms, modernizing applications, data, and infrastructure
- Assess and recommend migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, re-factor, retire) considering regulatory, security, and operational risks
- Define and promote cloud-native architecture patterns such as event-driven architectures and managed services aligned with banking security and compliance standards
- Evaluate and design the use of PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS to reduce operational overhead while ensuring resiliency, auditability, and control
- Architect solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and service continuity during and after cloud migration
- Ensure recovery time objectives (RTO), recovery point objectives (RPO), monitoring, logging, and incident response requirements are met across cloud and on-premise workloads
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies to enable secure and repeatable releases
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and operations teams throughout cloud migration and adoption journeys
- Provide clear architectural direction, standards, and best practices to stakeholders
- Support change management by balancing innovation with operational stability in a regulated banking environment.
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture or cloud solution design within large-scale enterprise environments
- Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, risk management, and governance frameworks aligned with financial services regulations.
