Role Description
The Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer / Multi-Cloud Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and cloud-native solutions across enterprise environments. This role focuses on cloud architecture, scalability, security, automation, and multi-cloud operations to support digital transformation, system reliability, and business continuity initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and managing cloud infrastructure architectures across public, private, or hybrid cloud environments
- Implementing scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud solutions for enterprise applications and services
- Managing cloud deployment, migration, and infrastructure optimization projects
- Collaborating with software engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT operations teams on cloud initiatives
- Monitoring cloud performance, system reliability, operational KPIs, and infrastructure utilization metrics
- Supporting multi-cloud strategies involving AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or hybrid environments
- Automating cloud operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration tools
- Managing cloud security, access controls, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements
- Conducting troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis for cloud-related issues
- Preparing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational reports for stakeholders and leadership review
- Driving cloud cost optimization, operational efficiency, and performance improvement initiatives
- Evaluating emerging cloud technologies, containerization platforms, and cloud-native tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, infrastructure management, or systems engineering roles
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, identity management, and cloud governance frameworks
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Experience with monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and cloud cost management solutions is advantageous
- Ability to manage complex infrastructure environments and multiple cloud initiatives effectively
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, healthcare, logistics, telecommunications, or enterprise technology environments is an advantage
