Cloud Applications Engineer

Responsibilities:

Analyse system problems, devise solutions, and develop software in a full-stack

environment.

Implement changes and operate the cloud-based application.

Navigate, learn, and useAWS features and services, including raising support tickets

and interacting with AWS Support.

Manage code deployment in a disciplined manner usingGit workflows, branching

strategies, and SAM pipelines.

Describe data models mapped to business objects and UI/UX.

Classify data appropriately and describeIAM, secrets management, WAF, API

protection, and compliance mapping (e.g.,CSA Cloud Controls Matrix).

Advocate for good UI design principles and identify areas for improvement.

Use statistical methods to work with, transform, and present data.

Skills Set Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or

equivalent experience).

Proven work experience as a cloud application developer, ideally in a full-stack role.

Strong understanding of data models and their relation to real-life business objects.

Passion for good UI design and critical thinking skills to identify suboptimal designs.

Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, NPM, Angular.

Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance

tuning.

Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently.

Good communication skills.

Experience with AWS cloud operations, including:

o AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM)

o AWS CLI and deployment best practices

o Lambda, API Gateway

Familiarity withversion control systems (Git)and CI/CD pipelines
