Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review KYC documentation, SoW corroboration, and onboarding assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and consistency with internal standards.
  • Provide guidance on client risk assessments, complex structures, and higher-risk relationships.
  • Act as a key escalation point for Front Office queries and onboarding challenges.
  • Review and approve periodic review submissions, ensuring quality, completeness, and adherence to regulatory timelines.
  • Challenge assessments where necessary and provide constructive feedback to RMs and CLM team members.
  • Identify thematic issues and control gaps arising from PR activities.
  • Supervise the handling of TM alerts, including review of supporting documentation and responses.
  • Provide direction on escalation of unusual or suspicious activities in line with internal policies.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of TM submissions across the team.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise CLM Associates provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Allocate workload, monitor turnaround times, and ensure team capacity aligns with business demands.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert within the CLM function.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and participate in CLM-related projects to strengthen efficiency, controls, and client experience.
  • Contribute to policy interpretation, implementation, and enhancement of CLM frameworks.
  • Support management reporting, issue tracking, and regulatory or internal audit engagements.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments or initiatives as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in private banking or wealth management, with strong exposure to AML/CFT, KYC, PR, and TM.
  • Proven subject-matter expertise with prior experience in coaching or supervising junior staff.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and challenge Front Office constructively.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of MAS Notice 626 and practical application within private banking
