Clinical Research Coordinator, Medicine

Overview

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (Dr Mo Yin, Infectious Disease), you will provide support to the team's clinical research activities, laboratory and administrative duties

Dr Mo Yin leads the ADVANCE-ID network as a Deputy Director. As a Clinical Research Coordinator in NUH, you will support site activities for the clinical research projects managed under ADVANCE-ID.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Screen and recruit subjects into clinical studies, maintain Investigator Site Files, follow up with patients visits and collect data
• Collect, process and store biological samples in the laboratory in accordance with good clinical practices
• Ensure proper documentation of sample collection, storage and shipment to central laboratory

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in terms of experience in life sciences, social sciences, nursing or any relevant field.
• 1-2 years working experience preferably in research and/or wet laboratory
• Able to perform basic microbiological techniques (e.g. subculturing, streak plating, spread plating)
• Good communication and interactive skills
• Strong Team Player
• Comfortable with speaking to patients or next-of-kins
• Able to work independently in a Laboratory
• Strong ability to maintain and update documentation
• Conscientious in data entry, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point
