Job Purpose
The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for assisting principal clinical investigators with prospective and retrospective data collection and entering data into databases for patients with haematologic malignancies and those undergoing stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, data collection for patients enrolled into research studies, database maintenance of research studies, data provision for conference presentations and maintain study status updates by submission of documents and/or data to DSRB and registries.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
- Collecting clinical data by accessing patient's medical records to extract information on current and past medical history, medications, laboratory, imaging results.
- Provide clinical support such as data entry and transcription of information on excel dataset, electronic CRFs and Redcap Master database.
- Validate clinical data to ensure consistency, integrity and accuracy.
- Liaising with clinical CRCs to ensure compliance of informed consent forms with standards set by ethics committees and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain database for NUH haematology database research studies and assist with the maintenance of site files.
- Maintain study status updates by submission of documents to DSRB.
- Be main coordinator for data related clinical research.
- Extract data for analysis and reports for publication, conference or presentation.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)
- Help with analysis and report writing
- Support Value Driven Outcome (VDO) projects.
- To participate in patient recruitment for research studies
- To ensure informed consent procedure is followed.
- Other ad-hoc research duties assigned by RO/PI
Required Qualification, Competencies and Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences/ Biological Sciences or its equivalent.
- Preferably has 3-5 years of experience in data management, Stem Cell Transplantation and/ or cellular therapy and/or Haematology and/or Oncology related jobs.
- Microsoft Office.
- Statistics skills.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Critical thinking skills
- Willingness to learn complex medical science
- Self-motivated
