Job Summary
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care through ward rounds, clinic support, procedures, and teaching junior doctors, while fulfilling night duties as required by hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily ward rounds to assess and manage patient conditions effectively
- Supervise and teach House Officers to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Assist senior doctors in running clinics and performing medical procedures and operations within scope
- Perform night duties as scheduled by the Head of Department to ensure continuous patient care
- Maintain active clinical practice to deliver up-to-date medical care
- Comply with Singapore Medical Council (SMC) supervisory framework and operational requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school
- Pass the relevant national licensing examination in the country of basic degree conferment, where applicable
- Complete at least 12 months of housemanship/internship with certification of satisfactory completion or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 3 years post-housemanship experience as a medical officer or equivalent in the relevant specialty, or possess a postgraduate medical qualification in the relevant specialty
- Fulfil the English language requirements set by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
- Be registered as a medical practitioner in the country of current practice
- Obtain certification of good standing from the Medical Council or relevant national authority
- Eligibility for temporary medical registration for up to 24 months subject to employment contract and SMC conditions
- Eligibility for conditional registration upon obtaining a postgraduate qualification recognised by SMC or meeting prevailing SMC conditions
