The role
You will be responsible for supporting the growing PartnerRe's Life & Health reinsurance business in Southeast Asia (SEA), with focus on Singapore & Thailand, by contributing to client relationship management, business development activities and market initiatives. The role supports business opportunities sourcing, assistance with d treaty administration, research and support of PartnerRe's positioning in the market, aligned with Asia-Pacific and Global L&H strategy.
Your Responsibilities Will Be As Follows
- Support strategy execution for Southeast Asia, with focus on Singapore & Thailand, clients and assist with opportunity sourcing, onboarding of new clients and renewal management
- Support maintaining client relationships across diverse functions and management levels.
- Support treaty negotiations and governance steps required for treaty execution.
- Maintenance and compliance of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System including client discussion notes, updating financial information, updating information for new opportunities and in-force business.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support execution of account bookings and management of in-force portfolios to comply with treaty terms.
- Support the Business Development team with research and reporting on market, client and competitor developments.
- Support the Business Development team's operations, administration and expense management needs including pipeline and dashboard management, managing client queries and feedback, treaty administration and docusign, quote documentation filing and storage, and Business Development training and onboarding materials.
- Responsible for coordination and quality control of Business Development inputs into monthly and quarterly sales, financial and other management reporting.
- Produce tools, analytics and reports on business development activity, results, insights and improvement areas and based on client partner and management needs.
- Develop, implement and maintain sales pipeline and management reports and tools to support the team's needs to manage new and in force business.
- Other general support of Business Development team and client activities including contribution with producing content for external presentations/marketing materials as well as other ad hoc tasks as required.
- At all times ensure compliance with PartnerRe's risk, governance, and reporting frameworks.
Your profile
About
Your hold a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, or related field, and bring about 38 years of experience in life insurance, life reinsurance, or life consulting industry. Furthermore, your profile is surrounded by the following skills and background:
- Ability to support and maintain client relationships will be an advantageStrong actuarial or numerate background with business development experience.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good understanding of Singapore and/or Thailand reinsurance/insurance markets and regulatory environment; Additional other SEA market experience will be an advantage.
- Experience in supporting negotiating, pricing, structuring, and recommending reinsurance transactions.
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary preferred.
- Candidates with relevant professional experience and qualifications (e.g., product development, underwriting, legal) are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written); Additional Mandarin and/or Thai language skills will be an advantage
