Client Management Intern

MSSG is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern with a strong interest in finance and investment banking, who is eager to develop the skills needed for a career in the industry.

The Prime Brokerage team at MSSG works closely with institutional clients such as hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices. The team provides tailored, end‑to‑end solutions, including trade execution, clearing, financing, and custody services, to help clients meet their investment objectives and financial goals.

The role of Prime Brokerage is to give clients access to capital, liquidity, and advanced trading tools that support their investment strategies. The team helps clients enhance their trading capabilities, manage leverage, diversify portfolios, and explore a broad range of investment opportunities. In addition, clients benefit from access to new markets, innovative technologies, and sophisticated investment strategies that provide a competitive advantage.

As a Prime Brokerage intern, you will gain exposure to a wide range of financial products and services. You will support the Prime Brokerage Client Management team by assisting with client relationship management, market research, and the development of strategic initiatives. This hands‑on experience will help you build a strong understanding of the industry while contributing meaningfully to the growth and success of the team.

Job Description

• Generate, automate, and maintain recurring reports using Excel, Python, and Power BI.
• Execute daily client fund withdrawals with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Facilitate fund movements to ensure timely fulfillment of margin call obligations.
• Perform administrative and operational support tasks, including audit confirmations, client statement requests, and disclosure requests, to ensure smooth workflows.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports covering new account openings, internal revenue tracking, retrocession payments to external asset managers, invoice collation for the business, and various ad‑hoc client requests.
• Support the planning and execution of Prime Brokerage client events to deliver a seamless and engaging client experience.

Pre‑Requisites

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field at a reputable local or overseas university (final‑year students preferred).
• Able to commit full‑time for a 6‑month internship starting from 1 June 2026 (credit‑bearing internships may be considered).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interest in professional development within the finance industry.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
