Your role

We are looking for someone who can:

- Contributes to the development of the Commodity Trade Finance business in Singapore through an understanding of clients requirements in line with UBS risk appetite

- shows responsibility creating, maintaining and developing long term client relationships with international commodity trading companies

- analyze, recognize and understand clients extensive needs and risk profiles, discuss these with their clients, and offer suitable and first-class solutions

- Collaborate with our internal and external partners across divisions. Build up an external network and use it to strengthen existing client relationships as well as to establish new ones.

- Understand and follow relevant industry trends as well as regulatory requirements/concerns

- Together with Transaction& Collateral Management colleagues, ensure proper credit line utilization from both risk and commercial point of view and ensure that transactions are carried out within the approved limits.

- Reduce risks and implement UBS's business policy through active risk management. Ensure that the relevant KYC (Know-Your-Client) and compliance rules are observed, thus avoiding any risks that could damage the Bank's reputation.

- Refers to and cross-sells other UBS products and services as appropriate.

Your team

As Client Advisor, you will be joining the Commodity Trade Finance APAC team to develop the client book in Singapore. You'll oversee your portfolio front-to-back and work cross-location with our internal stakeholders in Switzerland.

Your experience and skills

You have:

- strong entrepreneurial and analytical skills

- proven several years of experience in a similar position

- experience as a Client Advisor in sales of complex trade finance solutions

- higher Commercial Education at least a degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics

- experience in working in cross functional teams and cross-location

- existing product knowledge around Transaction Banking (Trade Finance, Cash, FX, Lending)

- strong market knowledge

- a high level of interpersonal skills both with senior management and employees alike. Necessary soft skills to manage multiple stakeholders, both in person and remotely
