We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee and manage cleaning operations across multiple commercial and industrial sites. This role requires a strong hands-on leader who is able to work under demanding conditions, manage a large and diverse workforce, and ensure seamless daily operations.
The ideal candidate must possess extensive cleaning industry experience, excellent leadership skills, and strong bilingual communication abilities to work effectively with a large number of foreign workers.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
. Manage and supervise day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple project sites
. Ensure all cleaning works meet company quality standards and client expectations
. Plan, schedule, and allocate manpower based on operational needs and site urgency
. Monitor staff attendance, performance, productivity, and discipline
. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain service quality and workplace safety
Leadership & Workforce Management
. Lead and motivate a diverse team of cleaning supervisors and workers
. Provide guidance, coaching, and conflict resolution when needed
. Ensure staff receive proper training on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures
. Manage foreign workers communication and coordination effectively
Client & Stakeholder Handling
. Respond promptly to client inquiries, feedback, and complaints
. Maintain strong working relationships with building management and clients
. Attend client meetings to review service levels, discuss improvements, and plan manpower requirements
Emergency, Crisis & Standby Duties
. Required to be on 24-hour standby for urgent operational issues
. Handle emergency situations such as sudden manpower shortages, urgent client requests, last-minute schedule changes, or equipment breakdowns
. Provide immediate support and solutions to minimise operational disruption
. Able to work under physically demanding conditions when necessary, including stepping in on-site
Administrative Duties
. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
. Assist in budgeting, manpower planning, and equipment procurement
. Ensure operations comply with company policies, workplace safety rules, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
. Minimum 8 years of experience in the cleaning industry (mandatory)
. Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage large teams
. Able to work under tough, demanding, and physically challenging conditions
. Required to be on 24/7 standby for operational emergencies
. Bilingual in English and Chinese (essential due to large foreign workforce on site)
. Strong problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making skills
. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
. Familiarity with NEA licensing requirements and WSQ training standards is an advantage
