Job Summary
You will maintain the safety and operational readiness of the dive vessel, conduct safety equipment checks, coordinate logistics, support emergency drills, and assist the Captain and diving supervisors to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety and operational condition of the dive vessel through regular inspections and upkeep
- Conduct daily checks to ensure all vessel safety equipment is functional and compliant with safety standards
- Coordinate with the Operations Department to arrange bunkers, fresh water, and stores for vessel operations
- Oversee and log planned maintenance of engines, generators, and other vessel machinery to ensure reliability
- Execute emergency safety drills including fire onboard, loss of power, and man overboard scenarios to ensure crew preparedness
- Analyze vessel records and reports to confirm compliance with Company and Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) standards
- Assist the Captain, Diving Supervisor, and Diving Superintendent as needed to support vessel and dive operations
- Report any defects or malfunctions of vessel equipment promptly to the Operations Team for timely resolution
- Assist in repairing diving plant machinery to maintain operational readiness
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Singapore Harbour Craft Manning License as mandated for safe and legal vessel operation
