Job Summary
The C&S Engineer manages the planning and development of projects. Candidate develops engineering designs based on project requirements, from conceptual to schematic and detailed designs. Candidate conducts project assessments and can provide feasible and creative solutions based on the assessment results. Candidate participates in the tendering processes and monitors the work of contractors and subcontractors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, executing, and managing civil and structural projects from start to completion.
- Support development, review, and analysis of structural designs and construction drawings.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and material selection for structural works.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with design standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and authorities to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor site activities, supervise subcontractors, and provide technical guidance.
- Assist in developing and implementing site safety plans and conducting safety training.
- Track project budgets, monitor expenditures, and review contractor invoices and variation claims.
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project handover materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Engineering or Project Management team.
Requirements:
- Recognised degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent
- Knowledge of structural design principles, construction processes, and local codes of practice
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills
