Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil and structural construction projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Support structural design development, including framing plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Supervise and review work of design and drafting teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to local construction regulations, URA requirements, and codes of practice.
  • Monitor project risks, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee safety management and compliance with quality standards on-site.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior engineers and project team members.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years experience in project management and/or civil & structural engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and engineering principles (concrete, steel, and temporary works design).
  • Proficiency in engineering and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Revit, MS Office, scheduling tools).
  • Solid understanding of local building codes, URA regulations, and regulatory submission requirements in Singapore.
  • Proven skills in planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders and manage project teams.
