About the role
Our MNC client is seeking a talented Civil Steel Design Engineer to join their team in the Central Region. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design and development of innovative civil engineering projects mainly in MRT/LTA within a leading multinational company (MNC). This is 5 days work week only with weekend off day.
Job Scope
- Designing and drafting steel structures and components using advanced software and engineering principles
- Performing structural analysis, calculations and design optimisation to ensure the safety and integrity of civil infrastructure
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate steel designs with other engineering disciplines
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, standards and regulations
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards
- Providing technical support and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in civil/structural steel design, preferably in an MRT/LTA project.
- Proficient in the use of design software such as ETABS, SAP2000 or similar
- Strong understanding of steel structure design principles, building codes and construction practices
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams
- Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
