Civil Site Supervisor

Job Summary

Oversee and supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards, managing labor and materials to deliver civil engineering projects on schedule and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards
• Monitor workplace hazards and enforce health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Inspect materials and workmanship to verify compliance with engineering and building standards
• Manage on-site laborers and subcontractors to maintain project schedules and productivity
• Track inventory levels, coordinate timely material deliveries, and implement measures to minimize material waste
• Maintain accurate daily logs, record worker attendance, and provide regular progress updates to the project manager
• Interpret construction drawings and blueprints to guide work execution and resolve site issues
• Demonstrate leadership by effectively communicating with teams and solving problems to ensure smooth project delivery

Required competencies and certifications

• Relevant safety credentials such as Building Construction Supervisor Safety certification or first aid/CPR certification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant local experience in civil engineering projects with proven on-site supervisory experience in road construction or civil infrastructure projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• GCE N/O Level or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• Class 3 Driving license (preferred to support site mobility)
