CIVIL ENGINEER TECHINICIAN

Job Roles / Responsibilities

Civil Engineering Duties

Assist engineers in planning and coordination of construction and installation works

Interpret and review engineering drawings, layout plans and technical specifications

Conduct site inspection and supervision to ensure work quality and compliance

Assist in preparation of technical reports, documentation and progress records

Support project scheduling and coordination of site activities

Assist in quantity take-off and material estimation

Ensure installation works follow approved drawings and project requirements

Assist in coordination of structural supports such as brackets and mounting systems

Identify technical issues and report to project engineer

Ensure compliance with Singapore engineering standards and BCA guidelines

Aircon / HVAC Related Duties

Assist supervision of installation works for split unit, multi split, VRV/VRF, cassette and ducted air-conditioning systems

Coordinate installation works with technicians and contractors

Review installation layout to ensure proper placement of indoor and outdoor units

Assist in checking copper piping, insulation and drainage installation

Assist troubleshooting and identify installation or system issues

Support preparation of installation checklist and service reports

Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations

Assist in quality inspection of completed aircon installation works

Ensure proper material usage such as piping supports and mounting structures

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering

Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in construction, engineering, or HVAC related projects

Experience in site supervision, installation coordination, or technical documentation

Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and layout interpretation

Understanding of construction or building services works

Knowledge of HVAC installation process is advantage

Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices preferred

Good problem-solving and technical coordination skills

Able to work on-site and support project team

Good communication and teamwork skills

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
