Civil Engineer

Job Description:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise building construction works on site including structural and architectural works.
• Manage daily site operations and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project schedule.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and workers to ensure productivity and workmanship quality.
• Liaise with consultants (Architect, Structural Engineer, M&E Engineer) on technical matters and site issues.
• Prepare and review construction method statements, work procedures and work schedules.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all works comply with Singapore statutory and regulatory requirements (BCA, MOM, NEA, PUB).
• Implement and enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure safe working conditions.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are met.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with consultants and relevant authorities.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification of non-conforming works.
• Assist in quantity take-off, material procurement and cost control.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports and as-built drawings.
• Attend site meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.
• Handle technical queries and resolve construction issues on site.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Building Engineering or equivalent (Local / Overseas).
• At least 1 years of relevant experience in building construction preferred (Fresh graduate able to apply).
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices, codes and regulations.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with site coordination and supervision of subcontractors.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing to work on construction site.
