Civil Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of civil and construction works.
• Coordinate and supervise daily site activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other relevant parties.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical and site coordination issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality and progress of works.
• Coordinate material requirements, deliveries and usage at project sites.
• Prepare site progress reports, work schedules, method statements and other project documentation as required.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings and inspections.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and workers to ensure proper execution of site works.
• Ensure works comply with relevant safety requirements, project specifications and applicable regulations.
• Assist the Project Manager with project planning, progress monitoring and completion of works.
• Assist with testing, inspections, rectification works and project handover.
• Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in civil engineering, construction or site/project coordination.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction processes and site coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office knowledge of AutoCAD or other relevant engineering software is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Willing to work at project sites and travel between project locations when required.
