Job Summary
Coordinate and lead multiple teams and subcontractors to deliver construction projects by planning, monitoring design changes, managing health and safety, and ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and financial requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes efficiently
- Ensure construction works comply with technical specifications and processes
- Plan and administer short-range and intermediate job activities for construction projects for Project Manager approval
- Input site information and perform minor design adjustments to improve construction ease
- Lead health, safety, and environmental management initiatives on site
- Develop work methods and rolling short-term construction programs to plan daily and weekly production
- Prepare progress and activity reports for shift handovers and regular updates to Resident Technical Officer or Project Manager
- Monitor commercial and financial costs, ensuring budget compliance and managing directions within authority limits
- Perform duties following established policies, processes, systems, and procedures
- Apply professional judgment to resolve engineering issues related to construction methods, design, and procedures
- Verify subcontractors claims and variations for accuracy and compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience in construction management
- Technical skills relevant to construction program and discipline area
- Experience in planning, developing, and reviewing complex projects
- Ability to implement audit processes and scheduling systems
- Proficiency in document and record management, progress tracking, and project performance reporting
