What The Role Is
You will be involved in the dynamic world of multi-million-dollar large-scale civil projects. As a JTC engineer, you will play a crucial role in estate-level infrastructure planning and design that are practical and customized to meet end users needs. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to transform concepts into realities, engineering infrastructures that effectively cater to project demands to foster economic growth in Singapore's industrial sector.
What You Will Be Working On
- Requirements gathering and design:
- Gather user requirements, translate them into technical specifications and develop preliminary schematic designs for infrastructure implementation.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on preliminary designs, seeking buy-in to ensure successful project implementation thereafter.
- Technical assistance and guidance
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal business units and their stakeholders on infrastructure and engineering related issues.
- Troubleshoot technical problem, diagnose root causes, and develop engineering solutions.
- Innovation and future planning:
- Lead innovation projects and feasibility studies aimed at enhancing and supporting JTC's long term planning, development, and business roles.
- This can include exploring and harnessing computational BIM for infrastructure projects to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design management and optimization:
- Manage the design, facilitate design reviews, along with value management sessions to optimize engineering designs. This could include working with internal and external stakeholders to review and refine the design and/or design processes.
What We Are Looking For
Background in Civil Engineering. Candidates should demonstrate a strong passion for infrastructure design, with an eagerness to learn and explore innovative design approaches. Self-driven, curious, innovative, and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills and creative problem-solving abilities
