Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project.
- Ensure that all civil works are carried out under contractual requirements and completed on schedule.
- Review job specifications and analyze technical drawings.
- Keep track of submission statuses like shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements, and all other technical submissions.
- Plan, arrange, and supervise civil building work activities.
- Coordinate work activities with other disciplines, clients resident representatives, and subcontractors.
- Prepare progress reports, work method statements, and forecasts.
- Responsible for all aspects of quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Monitor essential operational processes and perform routine inspections.
- Develop a method statement for the activity, including risk assessment, job safety, environmental analysis, and inspection test plan and checklist based on specifications of the materials.
- Collaborate with the HSE Department to ensure safety measures at the job site is complied.
- Any other related duties are to be assigned from time to time.
Prerequisites:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in construction, civil & structural projects.
- Capable of analyzing field problems and recommending timely resolutions.
- Candidates who have experience with managing subcontractors will have an added advantage.
- Possess strong management and organizational skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and/ or Mandarin, both orally and in writing.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Available to work on weekdays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.
- Able to work independently and as a team with a good and positive attitude.
