CIVIL ENGINEER (BUILDING CONSTRUCTION)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee building construction activities on site

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts

• Liaise with consultants, architects, subcontractors, and authorities

• Supervise site works and ensure quality, safety, and productivity

• Prepare project schedules, method statements, and work programs

• Monitor progress and resolve technical or site issues

• Conduct inspections and ensure works meet QA/QC standards

• Prepare reports, progress claims, and variation orders

• Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (recognized by BCA)

• 2-10 years of relevant experience in building construction
  (Residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects)

• Strong knowledge of RC structures, architectural & structural drawings

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Able to work independently and under tight deadlines

• Leadership and team-management skills
