Job Summary
Plan, organize, and lead construction projects by managing teams, schedules, budgets, and compliance to ensure timely delivery of quality outcomes within regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure efficient construction project execution
- Ensure all construction activities comply with building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Lead and coordinate project teams including architects, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals on time and within budget
- Monitor project progress continuously and implement adjustments to maintain schedule and budget adherence
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and technical specifications
- Design and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high construction standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to resolve issues and optimize performance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure alignment with project objectives
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities clearly to stakeholders and senior management
- Lead project meetings to facilitate effective communication and decision-making among team members
- Assist in developing cost estimates and managing project financials including subcontractor billings and pay applications
- Support site safety documentation and coordination to uphold safety standards
- Assist project managers with assigned tasks to ensure smooth project operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction project management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
- Experience managing and supervising construction teams
