Circular Economy Quality Assurance Officer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Sustainability Compliance Reviewer. In this critical role, you will be the guardian of our operational integrity and a key driver of our commitment to the circular economy. You will ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials are accurately processed, verified, and documented, directly contributing to our sustainability goals of waste reduction and resource efficiency. This position is essential for maintaining the high level of trust and accuracy required in our metal, battery, e-waste, and recycled plastic operations .

Key Responsibilities ( Duties for Sustainability):

. Ensure Supply Chain Integrity (The 4-Eyes Principle): Conduct independent verification of all material transactions by cross-checking weighbridge tickets, physical inspections, and payment vouchers. This 4-eyes principle ensures the accuracy and plausibility of all data, preventing discrepancies and maintaining the integrity of our sustainable supply chain .

. Circular Economy Quality Control: Perform detailed physical inspections and quality checks on incoming recyclable materials (metals, batteries, e-waste, plastics) to ensure correct classification (e.g., grade of copper, type of plastic). This prevents contamination in our recycling process, ensuring high-quality output for our new 100% recycled plastic pallets and precious metal recovery .

. Sustainability Data Verification: Meticulously record and verify all material data, including weights, types, and sources. This data is fundamental for our sustainability reporting, allowing us to accurately track our recycling throughput, carbon reduction impact, and compliance with environmental standards .

. Compliance and Audit Support: Maintain accurate and organized records (physical and digital) for all transactions. Support the management team during internal and external audits by providing clear evidence of our adherence to quality and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, environmental regulations) .

. Collaboration for Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the operations and sales teams to communicate any quality issues or discrepancies found during inspections. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements that improve material recovery rates and operational efficiency .

Qualifications & Person Specification:

. Experience: Previous experience in a quality control, inspection, or verification role is highly desirable. Experience in recycling, manufacturing, logistics, or a warehouse environment is a strong advantage .

. Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

. Strong observational and analytical skills to detect inconsistencies .

. Basic mathematical skills for weight and mass balance verification .

. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the weighbridge operator and cashier .
