Circuit Provisioning Operation Engineer (CPOE)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Circuit Provisioning Engineer (L2) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience in managing high-speed network connectivity, data center operations, and circuit troubleshooting. The role requires collaboration with various partners, carriers, and data center providers to ensure seamless network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 and L2 level network troubleshooting (L3 level knowledge is a plus).
• Work with data center providers for cross-connect (XC) ordering, fiber issues troubleshooting, and XC delivery.
• Manage CDN and backbone connectivity, including 100G circuits.
• Troubleshoot circuits in collaboration with various partners, Service providers and carriers.
• Handle data center processes such as site access requests, Remote Hands Support (RHS) requests, and trouble ticket management.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista, and H3C switches. L2 knowledge is minimum required
• Ensure smooth network operations by proactively monitoring and resolving issues.
• Network Switch/router Port configuration, troubleshooting, Port channel configuration ( LCAP),..etc.
• Network Switch installation, decommissioning in overseas data centers through local vendor or seek remote hand support from DC.
• JIRA ticketing system experience.
• Follow up the RCA with service providers, data centers.
• Work on ON-Call ( 24/7) on monthly basis ( 1 week / Month )
• Experience on SOP/MOP document creation
• Experience on raising the change request ( for network activity - such as device installation, decommission, migration, upgrades).

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years experience data centre or corporate/enterprise IT infrastructure, operating in IT best practices (ITIL), and operating within equipment lifecycle processes.

• Experience executing detailed MOPs, technical instructions, following documentation.

• Knowledge of relevant technologies - fibre optics, network interface types: form factors and protocols.

• Strong troubleshooting skills technical, logistical, process, and others.

• Experience planning and coordinating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, and vendors with Telecom ISP and Colo Providers.

• Excellent oral and written communication. Ability to express ideas clearly and provide effective remote technical guidance and troubleshooting.

• Basic command-line proficiency in Linux/Unix and any switch OS CLI

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience coordinating/leading junior field operation technicians/engineers, contractors, and/or vendors in a telecommunication working environment.

• Experience collaborating across multiple levels and functions.

• Anticipate problems in planning and proactively limit project-impacting factors.

• Strong documentation skills for technical processes & procedures as well as accurately recording large amounts of detailed data.

• Have basic knowledge in ticketing system (JIRA) for tracking all requests.

• Relevant Certifications: Server+, Network+, A+, CDCTP, CDCPM, etc.
