Chinese Tutor (K1, K2 & P4)

Role Description The Chinese Tutor (K1, K2 & P4) will provide engaging, age-appropriate Chinese language instruction to kindergarten and primary 4 learners in alignment with Marshall Cavendish Education's curriculum and teaching resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lesson activities, conducting small-group and one-on-one tutoring sessions, monitoring learner progress, and providing constructive feedback to support language development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The tutor will collaborate with school staff to align lesson objectives, maintain accurate records of learner performance, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians as needed. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Singapore, requiring the tutor to be present at the designated school or learning center during scheduled sessions. The tutor is expected to create a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and enjoyment in learning Chinese.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin), with the ability to teach language skills effectively to K1, K2, and P4 learners.
• Experience in early childhood or primary school teaching, tutoring, or classroom support, preferably in Chinese language education.
• Familiarity with structured lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and use of educational materials for different age groups.
• Ability to create engaging, learner-centered activities that support listening, speaking, reading, and writing development.
• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with learners, colleagues, and parents or guardians.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Relevant teaching qualification, diploma, or certification in education, Chinese language, or a related field is preferred.
• Availability for part-time, on-site work in Singapore during school or center operating hours.
• Registered ECDA L1 and L2 teachers are welcome.
• Registered MOE IRS trainers are welcome.
