Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Chinese Cuisine Cook to join our Chinese mixed vegetable rice (经济饭 / Cai Fan) stall operations in Singapore. The candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of Chinese dishes, maintaining food quality, ensuring kitchen hygiene, and supporting daily stall operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese cuisine dishes for mixed vegetable rice service
- Handle daily food preparation, including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking ingredients
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of dishes
- Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients and cooked food
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas
- Follow Singapore food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage stock rotation and minimize food wastage
- Assist in planning daily menu items based on operational requirements
- Work closely with stall manager and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Support opening and closing kitchen duties
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Chinese cuisine or Cai Fan / mixed rice stall cooking
- Able to cook stir-fry, steamed, braised, fried, and soup-based Chinese dishes
- Knowledge of Chinese cooking methods, sauces, and ingredient preparation
- Able to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physically fit and able to stand for long working hours
- Team player with good work attitude and discipline
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
- Candidates with experience in hawker stalls, food courts, or coffeeshop operations will have an advantage
Working Hours
- 5 or 6 days work week
- Shift timing based on operational requirements
