Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Chinese Cuisine Cook to join our Chinese mixed vegetable rice (经济饭 / Cai Fan) stall operations in Singapore. The candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of Chinese dishes, maintaining food quality, ensuring kitchen hygiene, and supporting daily stall operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese cuisine dishes for mixed vegetable rice service
  • Handle daily food preparation, including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking ingredients
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of dishes
  • Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients and cooked food
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas
  • Follow Singapore food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Manage stock rotation and minimize food wastage
  • Assist in planning daily menu items based on operational requirements
  • Work closely with stall manager and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
  • Support opening and closing kitchen duties

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Chinese cuisine or Cai Fan / mixed rice stall cooking
  • Able to cook stir-fry, steamed, braised, fried, and soup-based Chinese dishes
  • Knowledge of Chinese cooking methods, sauces, and ingredient preparation
  • Able to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long working hours
  • Team player with good work attitude and discipline
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
  • Candidates with experience in hawker stalls, food courts, or coffeeshop operations will have an advantage

Working Hours

  • 5 or 6 days work week
  • Shift timing based on operational requirements
