Chief Technology Officer

About the Role

My client is a product-led software company building commercially deployed AI-powered products for global customers. The CTO will own technology strategy and execution, working closely with the founders and product leadership to scale both AI capabilities and engineering culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a CTO who has built real products, hired AI teams, and shipped to production in fast-moving environments.

Job Details

• Own end-to-end technology direction across AI products, core platforms, and engineering delivery, from roadmap to production.
• Build, mentor, and scale teams including AI Engineers, AI Product Managers, and Senior Software Engineers; set hiring standards and org design.
• Lead architecture decisions for cloud-native, data-intensive, AI-enabled systems, balancing speed, scalability, and cost.
• Partner with Product and Commercial leaders to translate customer problems into deployable AI features with measurable outcomes.
• Establish engineering best practices across SDLC, MLOps/LLMOps, security, reliability, and responsible AI usage.

Job Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering, with senior leadership experience (CTO / VP Engineering / Head of Engineering) in product companies or scale-ups.
• Proven track record delivering production AI features (e.g., ML models, LLM-powered systems, data platforms), not just experimentation.
• Direct experience hiring and managing AI engineers and AI product leaders in a high-growth environment.
• Strong technical foundation in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and AI deployment workflows.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a builder mindset and accountability for both technical and business outcomes.
