Chief Technology Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the organisation's overall technology direction, execution, and innovation initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of technology functions, including system architecture, development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements across Singapore and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and implement the organisation's technology strategy, roadmap, and architecture framework

• Ensure all systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business objectives

• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery

2. Technical Oversight & Execution

• Provide hands-on oversight in system design, development, and implementation where necessary

• Review and validate technical architecture, system integrations, and deployment processes

• Guide internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery

3. Business Integration

• Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with business growth and client requirements

• Translate operational and commercial needs into effective and scalable technology solutions

• Support the development of digital platforms and process automation initiatives

4. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

• Ensure all technology systems comply with applicable regulatory, data protection, and governance standards

• Work closely with relevant stakeholders to support compliance-driven system implementations

5. Regional Implementation

• Oversee the deployment and management of systems across Singapore and ASEAN markets, where applicable

• Coordinate with cross-border teams, partners, and service providers

6. Risk Management & Continuity

• Maintain oversight of technology risks, cybersecurity posture, and incident response protocols

• Ensure appropriate measures are in place for business continuity and disaster recovery

• Take responsibility for the resolution of critical system issues in a timely manner

  Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., CTO, Head of Engineering, Principal Architect) with accountability over system outcomes

  • Strong technical foundation in software development, system architecture, and infrastructure / cloud environments, with the ability to engage at a hands-on level when required

  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end technology lifecycle, from design to deployment and optimisation within complex system environments

  • Ability to operate effectively across technology, operations, and business functions, translating business requirements into scalable system solutions

  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and decisive judgement under operational pressure

  • Ability to engage with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and clients in a professional context (Mandarin proficiency or prior exposure preferred)

  Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or technology-enabled professional services, particularly in systems involving financial data or regulatory workflows

  • Familiarity with regulated environments, including exposure to compliance, audit, or governance-related systems

  • Exposure to regional or cross-border project implementation, particularly involving Singapore and China-linked business operations

  • Prior experience working with Chinese clients, partners, or Mandarin-speaking environments, with sensitivity to cross-cultural business practices

  • Experience in growth-stage or evolving organisations, with the ability to build systems under incomplete structures
