We are seeking an experienced CTO / Tech Lead to lead the technical architecture and product execution of our next-generation AI-enabled e-wallet and payments platform. This role is crucial for ensuring our system's scalability, security, and seamless integration with payment partners and MAS requirements.
The ideal candidate should have 710 years of overall technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in e-wallets or digital payments, preferably with leading Singapore-based fintechs. Experience with credit card payment and stable coin or blockchain-based payment systems is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical strategy, architecture design, and product roadmap for the e-wallet and payments infrastructure.
- Oversee development of wallet ledger systems, KYC/AML modules, transaction routing, and settlement frameworks aligned with MAS standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for the MAS Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence application.
- Manage engineering teams (internal and external) through the MVP, prototyping, and wire framing phases.
- Integrate third-party APIs for payment gateways, digital identity verification, and custodial partners.
- Ensure system robustness, data privacy, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing technical oversight and advisory support post-licensing, including work with audit and legal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 710 years of progressive technology experience, including 5+ years in e-wallets or digital payment platforms.
- Proven track record with major fintech or payment products.
- Strong technical understanding of payment gateways, credit card payments, stablecoin integration, multi-currency wallets, and backend architecture.
- Familiarity with MAS licensing, compliance, and technology risk management frameworks preferred.
- Hands-on experience in startup or early-stage fintech environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
