About Neptune Robotics

Neptune Robotics is an AI Robotics -driven maritime technology company specializing in autonomous hull-cleaning solutions. By combining robotics and artificial intelligence, we help shipping companies improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and maintain cleaner vessels worldwide.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Neptune Robotics is responsible for leading operations, scaling technology deployment, and ensuring strategic alignment with the company's mission of reducing maritime fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The role combines operational leadership, team management, and sustainability-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily and long-term operations, including vessel dispatch, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure cost-effective and efficient deployment of robotics and AI systems for underwater hull cleaning and inspection.

Team Management

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) operators, and marine crew.
  • Foster collaboration between technical, research, and commercial teams to maintain smooth operations.

Strategic Growth

  • Drive expansion into new markets and partnerships within the maritime industry.
  • Align operational strategies with Neptune Robotics vision of achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Innovation & Sustainability

  • Champion the integration of AI and robotics to reduce ship fuel consumption and emissions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or related fields.
  • Leadership experience in operations, logistics, or technology-driven industries.
  • Proven track record in scaling startups or high-growth companies, ideally in robotics, AI, or maritime sectors.
  • Experience working with international teams and global operations.
  • Strong understanding of robotics, AI applications, and maritime operations.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, shipping industry standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Knowledge of fleet management, vessel operations, and underwater inspection/cleaning technologies is a plus.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (engineers, operators, marine crew).
