Chief Operating Officer - Multi-Family Office

Our client is an established, Singapore based multi-family office serving a growing roster of UHNW families across public and private markets. The firm is entering a new phase of institutionalisation and is looking for a COO to take a broad view of the business and build the operating backbone that will support its next phase of growth.

The Role

You will own the non-investment infrastructure of the firm - finance, HR, legal and compliance, governance, Investment Ops and the Relationship Management function.

You will represent the firm externally to banks, auditors, regulators, and strategic partners, sit close to the founders and Board, and drive the transformation that takes the business from a well-run advisory operation to a truly institutional-grade multi-family office.

This is a hands-on role as much as a strategic one. You'll be expected to be in the detail when it matters - reviewing a process, resolving an escalation, personally leading a build-out - not simply chairing meetings about it.

What You'll Do

• Own and develop the firm's operating infrastructure — finance, HR, legal/compliance, governance, and technology enablement — refining the policies, systems and controls needed as the business scales
• Provide oversight to the Head of Investment Operations and lead cross-functional transformation and automation initiatives alongside the CTO & senior leadership
• Act as a senior point of contact for banks, custodians, auditors, tax advisors and regulators, and represent the firm in strategic conversations with clients, partners and the wider family office community
• Own board-level reporting and governance, supporting the founders on risk and strategic planning
• Build and mentor the wider operations and RM team

What They're Looking For

• 15+ years of senior finance, operations and COO-level experience - ideally in a family office, private bank, asset manager, or comparable institutional setting
• A genuine track record of building operational infrastructure, not just running it: you've set up a function, entity, team, or business line from scratch or near-scratch
• Comfortable at board level and externally-facing, while still genuinely hands-on with the detail
• Public and private markets operations exposure is a strong plus
• A real interest in mentoring and developing talent
