Chief of Staff

About the Role

We are looking for a highly resourceful and execution-oriented Chief of Staff to work closely with leadership on high-priority strategic and operational initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, business operations, problem-solving, and execution. You will work on ambiguous and cross-functional projects, identify critical gaps, coordinate across teams, and drive initiatives from idea to completion.

The role will also support business expansion, government grants and incentives, regulatory requirements, entity setup, and new office launches across relevant markets. This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate independently, structure ambiguous problems, move quickly, and turn leadership priorities into tangible outcomes.

Responsibilities

A. Strategy Development & Execution

• Ideate and drive forward key business initiatives and company-wide priorities in close partnership with leadership.
• Lead research, analysis, and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
• Support leadership in evaluating and executing new market entries, business expansions, entity setups, and new office launches.
• Lead and coordinate government grant, funding, and incentive applications to support business expansion and growth.
• Manage and coordinate government registrations, licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements for new entities, offices, and business activities.
• Coordinate with government agencies, external advisors, legal partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of required processes and documentation.
• Monitor relevant government policies, regulations, and incentive programs and assess their potential impact on the business.
• Help manage planning, prioritization, and goal-setting processes to align teams, resources, and execution effectively.
• Track key initiatives and ensure timely follow-up and execution across stakeholders.

B. Cross-Functional Problem Solving

• Take ownership of ambiguous problems that require structured thinking, strong judgment, and hands-on problem-solving.
• Identify and resolve critical gaps across teams to support high-priority projects and unblock execution.
• Work across functions to identify root causes, develop practical solutions, and drive implementation.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure smooth cross-functional coordination.
• Step into areas outside the immediate scope of the role when needed to support company priorities.

C. Business & Operational Excellence

• Lead core operational processes across fulfillment, inventory, category, cross-border logistics, and other critical business operations.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions that improve execution speed, cost effectiveness, scalability, and customer experience.
• Ensure operational readiness for key campaigns, product launches, market expansions, and seasonal events.
• Support leadership in evaluating and implementing new business opportunities, markets, entities, and operational setups.
• Develop and improve processes to enable the business to scale efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, founder's office, project management, operations, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate them into actionable plans.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from problem identification through execution and completion.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with a bias toward action and getting things done.
• Comfortable working across multiple functions and with senior leadership.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with external parties such as government agencies, advisors, and business partners.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing applications, registrations, documentation, and regulatory processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous, and evolving environment.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience working in a startup, high-growth company, founder's office, strategy, or business operations environment is preferred.
• Experience with government grants, incentives, licenses, permits, or regulatory processes is preferred.
• Experience supporting new entity incorporation, office setup, market expansion, or cross-border operations is preferred.
• Experience working with government agencies or external professional service providers is preferred.
• Experience in e-commerce, consumer, retail, technology, or other fast-growing industries is preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, data analysis, or business planning skills are preferred.
