Chief of Staff (Investment Platform | Portfolio Operations Focus)

With an active portfolio and strong leadership team, the firm is focused on value creation, operational excellence, and strategic expansion, and is looking to hire a Chief of Staff to work closely with senior leadership.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution.
You will act as a right hand to senior leadership, driving key initiatives across the platform and portfolio, ensuring alignment, and helping translate investment strategy into operational outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone from top-tier consulting / MBA backgrounds looking to step into a hands-on operator + investor environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Execution
- Partner closely with leadership to drive firm-wide and portfolio-level priorities
- Translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans across businesses
2. Portfolio Value Creation
- Work with portfolio companies on operational improvements, growth initiatives, and special projects
- Support leadership in identifying and executing value creation opportunities
3. Project Management & Cross-Functional Delivery
- Lead and manage high-priority, cross-functional projects across multiple stakeholders
- Ensure strong coordination between internal teams and portfolio company leadership
4. Business Operations & Platform Build-Out
- Support the development of internal processes, reporting frameworks, and operating cadence
- Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, visibility, and execution discipline
5. Market & Expansion Initiatives
- Conduct market research, commercial analysis, and support new investment or expansion opportunities
- Exposure to emerging markets, including India, is a strong advantage
6. Investor & Leadership Support
- Prepare materials for investment committees, board discussions, and strategic reviews
- Support senior leadership in decision-making through structured analysis and insights
Ideal Profile
- 4-6 years of experience in Financial Services
- Top-tier strategy consulting, or Investment firms / private equity / venture capital / portfolio operations roles
- MBA from a leading institution strongly preferred
- Strong project management and execution capability — able to drive outcomes, not just advise
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and business functions
- Exposure to India / emerging markets is highly preferred
- Highly structured thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership
