Role Overview
You will work directly with the CEO of the APAC region, contributing to high impact strategic projects and business initiatives across multiple functions. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory and Decision Enablement
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, supporting corporate and regional strategic planning, including APAC growth and network development initiatives.
- Identify and anticipate emerging industry, regulatory, and competitive trends in shipping and logistics, and translate these into actionable insights and recommendations for the CEO.
Enterprise Performance Reporting and Scorecard Management
- Coordinate across APAC and Group functions to deliver integrated executive reports and performance dashboards for the CEO, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with Group standards.
- Prepare high-quality briefing packs, presentations, and decision papers to support the CEO's internal and external engagements with boards, regulators, key customers, and partners.
Execution of Strategic Projects
- Serve as the central conduit between functional heads (shipping, logistics, finance, HR, operations, etc.) to align priorities and resources on CEO sponsored initiatives.
- Track and monitor key projects and transformation programmes, maintaining oversight of milestones, interdependencies, and risks.
- Shape and manage the CEO's operating rhythm, including business reviews, leadership meetings, and project checkpoints, to maximise impact and efficiency.
Regional Insights and External Stakeholder Management
- Supervise strategic and economic studies for the APAC region and convert insights into practical recommendations for the CEO.
- Coordinate macro economic and industry updates, and manage key institutional relationships (industry bodies, port authorities, regulators, financial and strategic partners) in collaboration with relevant functions.
- Represent, when delegated, the Office of the CEO in selected external forums, ensuring alignment with Group priorities in areas such as sustainability, decarbonisation, and trade policy.
Executive Communications and Alignment
- Provide comprehensive communication support for the CEO, including agendas, minutes, follow-ups, internal notes, and executive correspondence.
- Strengthen cross-functional relationships by engaging APAC leaders, global function heads, and Head Office teams to align on strategic priorities and execution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and high performance across the regional network of offices and business units.
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years of experience in management consulting or a managerial role within a complex business environment.
- Degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field an MBA is preferred.
- Highly motivated, organized, and proactive self starter comfortable working in dynamic and ambiguous situations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with an interest or understanding of data analytics.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of the APAC business landscape within supply chain, shipping, and logistics is an advantage.
- Demonstrated sensitivity, diplomacy, and discretion when handling confidential or strategic projects.
