We have been exclusively mandated by an institutionally backed data centre platform to appoint a Chief Investment Officer to lead its investment strategy, M&A and commercial expansion.

This is a key leadership appointment with responsibility for driving investment opportunities, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead investment origination, M&A and strategic expansion activities across target markets.
• Identify and evaluate data centre acquisitions, development opportunities, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
• Drive end-to-end M&A transactions, including commercial due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, negotiations and execution.
• Establish and maintain relationships with hyperscalers, data centre operators, developers and strategic partners to originate commercially attractive opportunities.
• Assess investment opportunities based on market demand, power availability, customer requirements, commercial viability and investment returns.
• Define investment priorities and capital allocation strategies to support long-term growth objectives.
• Collaborate with development and commercial teams to progress opportunities from origination through investment approval and execution.

Requirements

• 12 to 18+ years of strong track record in data centre investments, M&A, corporate development and commercial origination.
• Direct data centre industry experience is essential.
• Ability to lead investment activities independently and manage multiple transactions across different markets.
• Strategic, commercially driven leader with strong stakeholder management skills.
