Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the Chief Financial Officer, Southeast Asia (CFO-SEA) of Dorsett Hospitality International (DHI) is responsible in leading the financial and strategic direction of the organization, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability. The incumbent shall oversee all financial operations, including corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, treasury, risk management, and compliance. The CFO-SEA will act as a strategic partner to the senior management team, providing insightful recommendations to drive key business decisions in alignment with the company's goals.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve long-term organizational goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-term planning, market trends, and regulatory actions.
2. Financial Operations and Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing results and initiating corrective actions.
3. Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify, manage, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements across all operational jurisdictions.
- Lead internal and external audits and act as the primary contact for auditors.
4. Treasury and Asset Management
- Oversee the management of company investments, cash flow, and debt to ensure optimal financial stability.
- Spearhead capital allocation strategies to maximize returns on investment.
5. Leadership and Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team by fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Provide mentorship to finance professionals and develop succession plans for key roles.
6. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Present financial updates, forecasts, and strategies to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (mandatory).
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance is highly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (preferably in the hospitality, real estate, or related industries).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
As this is a regional role, you must be willing and committed to flying between various countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia etc) for the proper discharge of your duties.
