Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide financial leadership to support international expansion and new market entry.
- Advise the CEO and Board on capital structure, investment, and potential fundraising opportunities.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Track business unit performance (e.g., P&L, client profitability, revenue pipeline).
- Provide insights on growth drivers, risks, and margin improvement opportunities.
3. Accounting, Compliance & Risk Management
- Oversee accounting operations, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., Singapore GST/CPF, labor and tax requirements).
- Establish strong internal controls, risk management, and audit processes.
4. Operations & Efficiency
- Design financial systems and reporting structures that scale with the company's growth.
- Partner with COO to manage cost structures, optimize cross-border operations, and drive efficiency.
- Negotiate with banks, auditors, legal advisors, and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
- 5 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in professional services, consulting, recruitment, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience with international finance operations and multi-entity structures.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and tax regulations in Singapore and other APAC markets.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills, able to partner with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
