About the Role
As the CEO of Four Star, you will be at the forefront of our strategic initiatives, driving business growth, enhancing operational capabilities, and exploring new market opportunities. You will provide leadership across all functions and ensure the long-term sustainability and profitability of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Market Expansion
- Drive business growth of the Four Star business in Singapore and identify new channels for expansion.
- Provide clear strategic direction for the organization.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Set and review annual revenue targets for the Mattress, Furniture and Lifestyle product business with the objective to gain more market share
- Lead and oversee the effective management of sales teams covering the various sales channels for retail sales, dealer sales as well as corporate sales
- Determine and execute a competitive pricing strategy for all product ranges and to implement regular price reviews based on market conditions
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Develop and lead an effective procurement strategy to ensure a stable supply of high quality finished goods from suppliers
Product Development & Innovation
- Lead the design and R&D initiative to develop new mattress and furniture ranges that appeal to the latest consumer trend to maintain market leadership.
Operations, Logistics & Supply Chain
- Oversee and ensure smooth warehouse operations, order fulfillment, inventory management, logistics, and outbound shipping
- Maintain high quality control standards across all product lines.
Financial Oversight & Business Performance
- Hold overall P&L accountability.
- Develop finance strategy, governance frameworks, and investment criteria.
- Collaborate with finance department on budgets, cost management, and profitability.
- Coordinate cash flow management and corporate customer collections.
- Approve major capital expenditure and investment decisions.
Brand, Marketing & Corporate Communications
- Champion the Four Star brand and set marketing strategy across both B2C and B2B channels
People & Organizational Leadership
- Lead and develop department heads across all business functions.
- Define organizational culture, values, and performance standards.
- Drive recruitment, retention, training, and succession planning.
- Foster a high-performance work environment.
Corporate Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Report to the board on business performance and strategy.
- Establish policies and controls to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CEO or in other key managerial positions within the mattress and furniture retail or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as sales, marketing, and supply chain management.
- Analytical mind and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- A relevant degree in Business Administration or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
