Chief Compliance Officer

Edenthorpe Search are seeking a highly experienced Global Head of Compliance (Chief Compliance Officer) to lead and scale a compliance function worldwide. This role is critical in ensuring that the business operates within all applicable regulatory frameworks while supporting strategic growth across jurisdictions.

You will serve as the primary compliance leader, working closely with executive leadership, regulators, and cross-functional teams to build a best-in-class compliance program in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all global compliance activities, policies, and frameworks
• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with business objectives
• Ensure adherence to international regulations, including AML, KYC, CTF, and sanctions requirements
• Act as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
• Monitor regulatory developments in crypto and financial services across key markets
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing global compliance team
• Establish internal controls, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring systems
• Partner with legal, product, and operations teams to embed compliance into all business processes
• Lead compliance reporting to senior leadership and the board

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles within financial services or crypto
• Proven experience leading global compliance functions
• Strong knowledge of international regulatory frameworks (MAS, FCA, SEC, FATF, etc.)
• Experience in cryptocurrency, fintech, or digital assets is highly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment
