The Chief Business Officer owns end-to-end commercial performance at Chocolate Finance. The role combines growth leadership (marketing, user acquisition, strategic partnerships, and AUM expansion across our markets) with strategic finance oversight (forecasting, business modelling, M&A, and capital raising support). The CBO works closely with the CEO and executive team on company-wide strategy, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven efficiency and profitability.
The CBO owns top-line outcomes including AUM growth, revenue, and unit economics across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and the UAE.
Lead all marketing and growth functions, including performance marketing, brand, lifecycle/CRM, partnerships, and product-led growth.
Partner with country teams to build aligned go-to-market strategies across priority markets and oversee key metrics and KPIs.
Develop and scale strategic partnerships that drive non-linear growth (distribution, fintech ecosystem, institutional channels).
Own core growth metrics: AUM growth, net new funded accounts, CAC/LTV optimisation, revenue growth, and contribution margins.
Build and optimise a multi-channel acquisition engine (paid, organic, partnerships, referrals).
Standardise marketing operations across markets, ensuring consistent execution aligned with the company's core brand identity while enabling thoughtful localisation.
Partner with Product to improve conversion, retention, and monetisation funnels.
Establish a data-driven growth culture with rigorous experimentation and performance tracking.
Own the company's financial model, including AUM forecasts, revenue projections, and scenario planning.
Lead annual planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts across all markets.
Drive unit economics clarity across acquisition channels, products, and geographies.
Partner with the CEO on strategic decisions, including pricing, market expansion, and capital allocation.
Develop frameworks for efficient growth (e.g., CAC payback, contribution margin).
Support fundraising, investor communications, and board reporting.
Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities and business lines.
Ensure financial rigour without taking on day-to-day accounting or controllership.
15+ years of progressive experience across commercial leadership, growth, and strategic finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive capacity.
Proven track record scaling a fintech, wealth management, or financial services business, ideally across multiple Asian or international markets.
Deep expertise in both growth marketing (performance, brand, partnerships, CRM) and strategic finance (financial modelling, FP&A, fundraising, M&A).
Strong command of unit economics, CAC/LTV frameworks, and contribution margin analysis.
Experience working closely with CEOs, boards, and investors on strategy, fundraising, and shareholder communications.
Track record of building and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
Analytical and data-driven, with demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation to drive efficiency and profitability.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field MBA or equivalent preferred.
