Position: Pharmaceutical Process Technologist (API Manufacturing)
Employment Type: Contract / Full-time
Location: Tuas (Manufacturing Plant)
Working Hours: 8-8 (day/night)
Job Description:
- Support API manufacturing processes, including chemical synthesis, purification, crystallisation, and drying operations
- Perform process scale-up and technology transfer from R&D to commercial manufacturing, ensuring process robustness and consistency
- Monitor and optimise critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs) to maintain product quality
- Conduct in-process sampling and analytical testing (e.g. HPLC, GC, KF, titration) to support production and validation activities
- Investigate process deviations and OOS/OOT results, and implement effective CAPA using root cause analysis tools
- Support process validation (PPQ), cleaning validation, and equipment qualification activities
- Prepare and review batch records, SOPs, validation protocols, and technical reports in compliance with cGMP requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QA, QC, Engineering) to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and product release
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reduce cycle time, and improve process efficiency
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), and regulatory standards in all operations
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or API manufacturing environment preferred
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, or similar
- Familiar with cGMP regulations and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
