Chemical Process Engineer

Responsibilities:
. Analyze and evaluate existing operational processes to identify areas for improvement, collect performance data and support digitalization initiatives.
. Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
. Research, design, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.
. Oversee daily operations and maintenance of plant processes to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
. Plan and coordinate the setup and organization of process operations, including the introduction of new systems and procedures.
. Investigate and resolve process-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety and quality standards.
. Develop and implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and technical
documentation.
. Manage project timelines, costs, and resources to achieve operational objectives.
. Participate in Process Safety Management and Hazard and Operability studies.
. Lead and coordinate activities related to plant shutdowns and major maintenance events.

Requirements:
. Degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in a process or manufacturing environment
. Solid understanding of process optimization, safety management and relevant engineering standards
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and drive improvement initiatives
. Team-oriented, proactive and adaptable to dynamic operational requirements
