Chemical Engineering Technician - Sludge Treatment

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily plant operations, sludge pit and weighbridge activities.

• Optimize DWS and DS treatment capacity while ensuring safe operations.

• Minimize utility consumption, including PNG, chemicals, water and electricity.

• Monitor hopper levels and coordinate with crane operators to prevent shutdowns.

• Inspect dried sludge and adjust feed rates to maintain optimal operating temperatures.

• Monitor sludge transfer pumps and perform basic troubleshooting.

• Assist with plant maintenance and scheduled shutdowns.

• Conduct routine inspections and report operational abnormalities.

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and maintain good housekeeping.

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering
• Able to perform shiftwork/ Overtime
