Role Description The Chemical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for supporting the development, optimization, and safe application of Cramoil's chemical products and processes. Day-to-day tasks include designing and improving blending and cleaning formulations, conducting laboratory tests and trials, analyzing process performance data, and recommending improvements to efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. The role involves working closely with production teams on process engineering activities, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing standard operating procedures for chemical handling and waste management. The Chemical Engineer collaborates with commercial and operations teams to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions, prepares technical documentation and reports, and helps ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret laboratory results, process data, and operational performance metrics.
• Laboratory skills in chemical testing, formulation, quality control, and safe handling of chemicals.
• Experience or knowledge of the chemical industry, particularly specialty chemicals, cleaning solutions, or waste management.
• Process engineering skills, including process design, optimization, scale-up, and troubleshooting in a production environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing technical documentation, and interacting with customers and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations and good practices in chemical and waste management.
• Ability to work on-site in industrial and marine-related environments, with attention to safety and operational discipline.
• Proficiency with basic engineering and data analysis software; experience with process simulation tools is an advantage.
• Prior experience in specialty chemicals, marine cleaning, or industrial waste management is beneficial but not mandatory.
